Vanilla Chai Waffles with Cinnamon Yogurt

With all the warm spices of a sweet chai latte, you can bring the cafe home to your kitchen with our vanilla chai waffles with cinnamon yogurt.

Prep Time:  5 minutes

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Servings: 4 x 4” waffles


Ingredients: 

For the waffles: 

  • ⅔ cup otherworld Apple Cinnamon pancake & waffle mix
  • 1/2 cup black tea, cooled
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp dried ground ginger or 1 tsp fresh grated ginger
  • ¼ tsp ground cloves
  • ¼ tsp ground cardamom
  • pinch of black pepper

For the cinnamon yogurt:

  • ¼ cup plain vegan yogurt
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 1-2 tbsp plant milk, as needed
  • 1 tsp cinnamon plus more for dusting 

Directions: 

For the waffles:

  1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl until just combined. Cook on a hot waffle iron for 4-5 minutes, or until waffles are crisp and easily release from the iron. 

For the cinnamon yogurt:

  1. Combine the yogurt, maple syrup, and cinnamon in a small bowl. Stir in enough plant milk so the yogurt is pourable. Drizzle over waffles.
